Assembled in the first half of 2024, the Career Canvas Team is devoted to creating a new route to go beyond the traditional career ladder progression of employees using novel and innovative tools and structures, such as Role Guidelines and Work Contributions.

Job Summary
As a Front End Engineer II, you will:
- Develop scalable and easy-to-use interfaces for career development tools.
- Work on impactful projects such as:
- Warm Hand Off (WHO): Enhancing employee transition support.
- Role Guidelines: Providing structured career pathways.
- Work Contributions Framework: Defining and showcasing contributions for career progression.
- Work in cross-functional groups to realize novel ideas in a dynamic, creative, and fun way.

Key Responsibilities
Collaboration:
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of new tools by working interdisciplinary with a panel of experts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain the best possible insights into what an employee will need to be successful and to provide solutions to them.
Frontend Development:
- Develop high-quality, testable, and maintainable user interfaces.
- Implement framework technologies (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js) to create interactive applications.
Problem-Solving and Mentorship:
- Solve complex problems with simple, scalable solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering innovation and collaboration.
Customer-Centric Innovations:
- Drive ideas that improve user experience across multiple touchpoints.
- Deliver products that simplify career navigation for Amazon employees.
Agile Development:
- Develop stable and scalable software in an agile way.
A Day in the Life
Main Activities:
- Enhance tools for Amazon employees to empower career progression.
- Design and implement large-scale frontend functionality for applications, such as Role Guidelines and Work Contributions.
- Tackle challenging problems to develop intuitive and scalable interfaces.
- Experience an active, unpredictable life and be part of a more intricate societal collective.
Basic Qualifications
Experience:
- At least 2+ years of continuous, full-time, non-internship experience programming front-end, web, or mobile software in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 1+ year of professional experience on topics related to computer science, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
Preferred Qualifications
Methodologies:
- 1+ years of experience in agile software development.
Technology Expertise:
- Capacity to gain a deep understanding of mainstream front-end technologies, e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range:
- $223,600/year (highest market).
The salary varies depending on the area and is discussed according to the skill level, competence, and experience of the individual.
Total Compensation Package:
- May include equity, sign-on bonuses, and other financial benefits.
